Profile

Present Day / Human Tav

{Personality}
Boisterous, loud, confident, assertive. Can be aggressive, snarky, and stubborn, though he doesn't usually take himself too seriously. Doesn't back down from a challenge even if he knows he should. Can seem a bit reckless, though he usually has a reason for doing things (no one's saying it has to be a good reason). Crowds make him anxious, and he's distrustful of people he doesn't know. He gets flustered easily when he feels like he's not in control of a situation and doesn't like to. Is a surprisingly private person and public displays of affection make him awkward and uncomfortable.

Despite all that, he's also usually respectful of his elders and anyone he knows he needs to keep on his good side, so not complete knuckle-dragging brute. Can be surprisingly well spoken and charming when he tries (though certainly not a diplomat). Surprisingly, he doesn't usually take himself too seriously and anyone trying to take a stab at his ego will probably be left disappointed.  He much prefers to treat almost everything like a joke, and has a terrible sense of humor to go along with that (not quite dad jokes bad, but it's close).

A bad boy, but not really as bad as he looks.

{Occupation}
Black market arms dealer, occasionally acts as hired muscle

Old West / Werewolf Tav

{Setting}
Old West America (1880's) but with supernatural creatures and magic

{Personality}
Much the same as human Tav, though less skeptical of strangers and more carefree in general thanks to leaving his life of crime in the past. Also far more outwardly affectionate to anyone he cares for as werewolves are want to do. Still very confident, assertive and a bit reckless as well as stubbornly loyal.

{Occupation}
Hired security for Ellie Rose's Golden Rose Saloon and House of Comfort. Occasionally does odd jobs if he's off wandering.

{History}
Born in Ireland and orphaned at a young age. he fell into a life of petty crime. By the time he was in his teens he'd made enough enemies that he decided it was best to flee the country, and got enough money to buy passage on a ship bound for the Americas. He had told himself he was going to start a new life on the right side of the law, but once he got there he discovered finding decent employment for a new immigrant wasn't exactly easy. Soon enough he was back to his old tricks, and eventually falls in with a gang that made a living robbing caravans and other travelers. Tav is in his early 20's when one of these robberies goes bad. He's shot twice and while his fellow gang members bring him back to a small inn in town, they eventually decide he's a lost cause and move on before the law can catch up to them. He manages to stumble down to the bar and passes out on the floor while trying to ask for help. He comes to not long after to a large woman informing him that she could save him, but it would come at the cost of turning him into a werewolf. She warns him that it will be a painful process, but he desperately agrees as he feels the life draining out of him. She hadn't lied that the process would be painful. After choking down what felt like far too much of her blood, he felt his entire body aching like it was trying to rip itself apart. As he transformed into a werewolf he yet again passed out, but he woke up hours later to find that the bullet wounds had at least healed and he wasn't dead.
Adjusting to being a werewolf was quite an adventure, but Edith, the one who turned him, was always there to help. The two eventually joined up with a caravan, the leader of which was a man named Jim Carter who was married and had a young child. Tav would have never imagined himself as good with children, but he and the little girl Adelaide quickly took a liking to each other and he came to see her as a sister and the other members of the caravan as his family. As the years went by, Mrs. Carter passed away and eventually Mr. Carter sold the caravan and bought a farm not far outside the mage-run city of Runestone. While Tavish and Edith did their fair share of wondering the lands, they considered the farm the closest thing to a home they had and frequently stopped by to help out the old man and his daughter with the farm work and repairing the run down buildings. Only a few years after they'd taken over the farm, Mr. Carter also died, leaving the place to Adelaide. Tav eventually realized he had reasons to stay closer to the farm, and took up a job in the city.
