When Snakesplit was known has Snakekit, he was very happy living with his mother and brother (Shatteredraven and Feathertrance respectfully) in Fadedclan, he and his brother were very close. Snakesplit loved Fadedclan, he loved the open territory and the sparse trees and the feel of it all, and when he was finally allowed out of camp for the first time on the night of his apprentice proving with his brother, he was ecstatic. Ever since he became an apprentice Snakesplit threw himself into his duties and grew distant from his brother and mother who grew closer, Shatteredraven also grew close to Tallpine, a cat Snakesplit has come to despise. One fateful day Snakesplit was sharing a meal with his family when Shatteredraven announced she would be leaving Fadedclan with Tallpine and extended the offer to her sons, which Snakesplit instantly refused, but was surprised to hear his brother offer to go with her, Snakesplit began to beg his brother not to go with their mother, but Shatteredraven snapped and told Snakesplit that Feathertrance had decided and nothing would change his mind to which Feathertrance was trying to tell his brother over all of Snakepslit's desperate begging. A day later Feathertrance and Shatteredraven left with Tallpine and Snakesplit hasn't seen them since. When Snakesplit was given his warrior name he thought it was cruel at first, having his own name reminding him of being split from his family, but he grew into the name and just let everyone call him "Snake" rather than Snakesplit, but that all changed when he met Kestrelsnap. Kestrelsnap gave off a vibe that Snakesplit gravitated to, and they became close friends, and when she revealed her intentions to him as trying to tear the clan down and let the rogues have it, he agreed to help since Kestrelsnap was wanting to become the queen of the rogues and offered Snakesplit to be her king. They schemed long into the night and grew incredibly close, and agreeing to become mates in secret, not revealing it to the clan. For now, Snakesplit is fine with where he is and happy with Kestrelsnap at his side.
