Aauriel is the only child of the first demon, Eloriel. They were raised spoiled, fawned over by their father's circle. When the second child, Halliel, was born, Aauriel quickly became attached and the two rarely left one anothers' side. This didn't change as they grew and other children were born, Aauriel only ever had their eyes set on Halliel. Somal, the child of another of the first demons came later and spent much of his time with Aauriel and Halliel. These three, along with other childred of the original demons became known as the first generation. The first "pure-blooded" demons ever born.

It was obvious to see the affection that Aauriel and Halliel had for one another; their feelings were never anything that they, nor anyone else ever had to put to words. Wherever Halliel went, Aauriel would follow. If one could not get along with Halliel, they could not get Aauriel either. Aauriel was, by far, the more patient, kind, and understanding of the two. Many assumed that they long since picked up those traits to make up for what Halliel lacked.

Humorous, was it, to all who saw the two demons together, to watch as Somal followed anywhere they went. Ever the eager friend, Somal looked up to both his elders, going to them for advice when needed, and spending as much time with them as possible. Try as he might, though, it was obvious that even though Aauriel and Halliel accepted Somal, he did not share the same connection the two had. Over time, it seemed this gap only widened.

Tragedy befell Somal's life once he neared adulthood. His father said to have been murdered by elves. When Somal fell into deep grief, Aauriel made the decision to leave their spot at Halliel's side to comfort their dear friend. It began innocuously enough, simply aiding a grieving childhood friend, Halliel thought nothing of it. He too, spent his fair share of time in an attempt to make Somal feel better. Over time, though, Halliel saw Somal's sadness contort to something else.

Aauriel was ignorant to the anger and rage that was deliberately tucked behind a play of melancholy. They did anything they could to cheer Somal up, listened to anything he said. Even when his words turned vengeful.

At first, Halliel simply thought that Aauriel was giving Somal the benefit of the doubt. When the two were alone together, Aauriel displayed a reasonable amount of concern for the direction that Somal's thoughts were taking. Halliel expressed his own concerns and urged Aauriel to speak to Somal on the matter. It wasn't long after that Aauriel's own opinions began to mimick Somal's.

Concerned, Halliel kept a close watch on Somal, especially when he was around Aauriel. It was not until he saw the changing look in Somal's eye when he spoke to Aauriel that he realized what was happening. Somal, oldest child of Selia, the first succubus, had gained his mother proclivity for manipulation. Long had he been using his demonic skills to win over Aauriel, one of the strongest demons alive.
