Yuzu Izosuki

Yuzu was the first OC I ever created.
She has gone through so many changes ever since I created her at age 10.

Yuzu is a cheerful woman who has been through a lot of bullshit. She was a member of the popular idol group Sanctuary Fine represented by the color yellow.
Yuzu was considered someone with a lot of tenacity, being among the oldest members of SF. 

At age 7 she lost the majority of her immediate family in a house fire, leaving her body scarred by burns. She later learned that an abusive ex of her mother's committed arson on her childhood home. The remaining family was adopted by Yuzu's best friend (Ai) at the time's mother and adjusted to living in her mansion where Yuzu met Meikio. Meikio was Yuzu's first love however the aspect that he was practically her adoptive brother did not dawn on her at the time. She has complicated feelings with Meikio in the present day because of this and rarely speaks to him.

At age 16 she joined the cafe band Sanctuary Fine after Ai joined without her. Eager to follow her and maintain their friendship, Yuzu joined the cafe despite being rejected in her first audition. Here, Yuzu was plunged into an Underground world of exploitation and supernatural beings who lived double lives. Not only did she shame her past but she sanitized her present-- she was now a cute Japanese make-up guru who kept her mouth shut. She was clumsy, she was an idol along with the other girls even if they disappear under mysterious circumstances. Yuzu was always friendly despite internalizing the brunt of this trauma.

Goma Mikol, her future wife, was in a highly publicized relationship with a well-liked man also in SF. On the surface, their relationship could be described as "Sweet Idiot Man Lands The Perfect Japanese Waifu" but the core of their problem was a lack of compassion and neglect outside of the public eye. Yuzu and Goma became close during their time in SF although did not enter a romantic relationship because the last time a girl did that, she was murdered. (RIP Tracy)
Regardless, Goma and Yuzu did not have to perform for each other and under the guise of friendship, they were able to give each other the compassion and understanding they both sorely lacked. 

Other complications:
-Goma was exceedingly more popular than Yuzu in SF. Goma faced a lot of pressure to maintain her public image while Yuzu became a "Japanese Tomboy" type in the background.
-Goma was murdered by her sister Satoko and became a fallen angel. (It's complicated this is all taken from a shitty RP,)
-Yuzu found a natural talent in sharp-shooting for her protection and after SF fell apart, Yuzu stayed with Goma to watch over her. 

CURRENTLY
Goma and Yuzu are now married with a surrogate daughter named Emery. Yuzu is preparing to own her own bakery while Goma has a fun Etsy store on the side. Both are in extensive therapy.
