If she looks familiar to you, you probably know her from this animation I made in 2012.
About
Cindara is a strange and unusual Keronian who showed up one day. She doesn't have any memories of her parents or where she came from. She was dropped off in a group home at a very young age and doesn't remember anything that happened before.
She's very awkward and struggles to understand social cues. She also struggles to approach Keronians her age because more than often, they fear or spite her.
Despite this, she's an excitable gal and fiercely loyal to her friends. She's also excited about learning anything she can and a teacher's pet.
As a child, she had a juvenile crush on her sensei, Dororo. Though he was smart enough to know she only felt that way because he was one of the first Keronians to show her kindness and mistook it for romantic attraction.
As an adult, she's a lot more rounded and confident, acting as a mentor for the younger Keronians.
Personality
Always full of anxious energy, she needs to be moving constantly or she gets upset. Has trouble paying attention. She can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Has trouble trusting people due to relentlessly bullying in her youth. Growing up, she struggled making friends. She eventually calms down and becomes more trusting as an adult.
Design notes
Lime green with white belly/face, tail bottom. Has rounded, teardrop-esque shaped eyes, purple irises, and slit pupils. Has a purple, diamond shaped emblem on her stomach/forehead. Wears a black hat that is too big for her as a kid, but she eventually grows into. Dragon-like tail with white spikes and a white tail spade. Has sharp teeth.
Frequently wears collars/scarves around her neck. Occasionally wears a ninja face mask. Sometimes wears goggles. Can also be dressed in baggy hoodies/sweaters. She loves striped clothes,

Childhood
Cindara has no recollection of her early years. She has no idea if she has parents or caretakers or whatever. She was found wandering around back alleyways and scaring passersby due to her appearance. Eventually, she was taken to a group home.
Despite her young age, she's very knowledgeable about survival and how to take care of herself (likely out of necessity).
She's an excitable child. Oftentimes, the caretakers at the group home have to keep sugar away from her or else she would be bouncing off the walls.
Ice cream is her favorite treat. She's also fond of cake.
Adolescence
As an adolescent, she became Dororo's apprentice where she learned self-discipline and the basics of ninjutsu. She developed a big crush on her teacher. Dororo knew this but had a feeling it was more Puppy Love or an unhealthy obsession due to her lack of affection growing up.
After her training, Dororo gave her a black mask which she wore proudly for years. She still wears it as an adult, just not as frequently.
Teenager
While still very young, she joined a platoon as a private. They didn't treat her very well, often poking fun at her, calling her by the wrong pronouns, and frequently leaving her behind.
Nonetheless, after being alone for so long, she'll take the abuse from her platoon, if only to feel accepted and to tag along on their adventures.
Bad Ending
At some point, the platoon left her behind on some barren planet. Though angry, she still forgives them and chases after them through the universe. After several months, she finds them on Earth assisting the Keroro Platoon. As it turns out, the Earthlings have fought to the brink of their own destruction. Most of the world has become and apocalyptic wasteland and is ripe for the conquering. Of course, incompetent Keroro still needs help to take Pekopon for himself.
Cindara is thrilled to be reunited with Dororo once more, but finds that he is having just as much trouble being noticed as her, maybe even more. She tries to spend as much time with him as she can, if only to feel needed.
However, survival is becoming an issue, as the pollution has become so horrible that the invaders have trouble finding food, so taking over the world takes a back seat. Weeks pass and trouble brews, as the atmosphere becomes more and more bleak.
One afternoon, the platoon admits that Cindara is, in fact, a horrific experiment performed by them several years ago that they had to abandon because they did not think it would survive. Even if it did, it would not be emotionally stable enough to live on Keron. At that moment, something in Cindara snaps and she goes on a killing spree, killing everyone who wronged her and Dororo.
Dororo cannot accept such useless bloodshed, especially in his name. As much as he tries to reason with her, she does not listen and continues to kill. Eventually, he does the only thing he can to stop her: he kills her. Broken and alone, Dororo returns to Keron, and Earth is left to fend for itself.
Good Ending
Cindara grows from her experiences her previous platoon, learning that yes, she is an experiment, she doesn't have the proper sex characteristics to be called female, and cannot reproduce. This revelation causes her to spiral into a deep depression, but her friends help lift her out. They tell her it doesn't matter if she doesn't have the right "equipment," if she feels like a girl, then that's what she is.
Her teenage years are fraught with emotional turmoil, but she manages to make a small handful of friends who stay up with her during her sleepless nights of crying.
She finally decides to become a sergeant and create her own platoon. She enlists her long time friends Tonini, Dokuku, and little Sukiki. Using her experiences, she forges her way through the stars, going on her own adventures and mentoring Sukiki.
She finds a calling in mentoring and eventually becomes a teacher full time. She specializes in troubled youth and helps them navigate their trauma and emotional instabilities.
She keeps in touch with Dororo, who is together with another nature-loving Keronian. They have a daughter named Hanana. While this initially broke Cindara's heart, she realized perhaps it's for the best. She realizes she was too young for him, and perhaps her adventures will help her find love elsewhere in the galaxy.
