Capella is a former Octarian soldier who specialized in weapon repairs. After waking up with amnesia, Capella and a group of several other Octolings escaped the Deepsea Metro testing facility together and helped each other reach Inkopolis safely, though Capella never found all of her memories.
Capella is highly curious and enjoys reverse-engineering things (and people) to figure out how they work. She has recently moved to the Splatlands with her girlfriend, Skipper.
Capella is a cheerful, optimistic Octoling who tries to see the good in all things. She is highly inquisitive and asks a lot of questions, which can annoy others (though she doesn't realize it). In Turf Wars, she becomes extremely driven and will splat anyone in her way, making her a skilled yet dangerous teammate. At times, mainly when she's alone, she'll become upset that she can't recall all of her memories, and sometimes wishes to return to the Deepsea Metro so she can recover them.
Cappy met Skipper when they were assigned as teammates during a turf war match. They performed extremely well together and struck up a friendship from there. They have been together for 5 years and currently live in the Splatlands together.
Cappy and Orion were drafted to the Octarian army together in different departments. After leaving the army, they became separated for years, but reunited later in Inkopolis. Cappy, however, lost most of her memories and does not remember her past with Orion, but loves him all the same.
