Fell in love with a loner as a young cat and secretly snuck out of camp to meet her for a number of moons before becoming deputy. Once he was appointed deputy he swore to himself that he would never see his former love again and he never did. 

Moons later Moonshadow would encounter Frostpaw and be struck with the realization that she greatly resembled his first love. He would never end up asking Frostpaw about her mother and instead would live the rest of his life with the unanswered question in the the back of his mind.
