Jamie

Neglected by her parents and mistreated in the school system, Jamie grew up an angry and volatile child, getting into fights almost daily. This escalated when she attacked a bully with a knife and caused severe injury, leading to her being sent to a correctional facility for troubled kids. There, her persecution complex only worsened. When she was evaluated and released a year later, she almost immediately fled her parents' home, fearing being sent back to juvie. At this point, she had an extreme distrust and hatred for all adults due to her abuse. She rarely stayed at shelters due to fear of being caught, and kept several weapons on her person at all times. She met Ange a few months later, finding the girl huddled in the sewers, alert and afraid. The two stuck together after that, Jamie becoming fiercely protective of Ange because of the other's poor sight and clear prolonged malnourishment. She didn't know Ange's whole story for a while, only that she found the girl in a dirty medical gown, and she seemed to make references to a place she called "The Facility." Ange also had an inhuman strength, especially for her age, which Jamie discovered when she punched a grown man out cold in an alley fight a week after their first meeting. Since it upset Ange, Jamie didn't ask her many questions about her past, and in return Ange did the same. They foraged a strong instinctual bond and became very protective of each other. About a year after their meeting, the two met Margo and Conner when searching for a new encampment. The 4 kids banded together as a group and looked after each other from then on. A while later, they founded Children's Place together.
