Sugarmancers are reanimated corpses kept alive by a ghost (or ghosts in some cases). While the corpse has no actual "magical abilites" to it at 011, the ghost is capable of supernatural happenings, and when working with its corpse, they can appear to be one being wielding some form of magic.
The corpse itself, instead of decaying, slowly turns into candy from the inside out. This causes all guts and gore of tho corpse appearing very colourful and gooey, as if it were made of edible jelly (which in some cases, it is). The colouring of said gore doponds on the corpse's "theme" (the treat that the corpse is slowly turning into).
Corpses appear human, and still have every shred of individuality as they had in life, but typically aren't recognized as human anymore, and are categorized as undead. They ore always seen with their ghost, who acts as a "conscience" of sorts, always having a thing or two to say about what's going on around them.
Decay
Sugarmancers are already autopsied corpses of those who died while still battling their inner demons.
These “demons”, if strong enough, manifest as what can only be called ghosts, driven by the emotion felt the most by the corpse in life (anger, fear, ec).
This ghost (in some cases ghosts) are obsessive in nature and feel a very strong sense of needing to live. They also tend to have a favourite treat, and thus reanimate their corpse by infusing them with said treat as well as all the other remaining emotions besides the ghost’s own.
Overtime hows 2 may begin to “decay”, but not in the conventional sense, Rather, they begin to become overrun by both the ghost's emetion and his favourite treat. This can result in outbursts of said amotion, as well as the corpse becoming more and similar to the treat in a physical sense.
Ghosts
Ghosts are really strong as the strongest of emotion felt by corpse, and have (generally) limited range of emotions. This can mean a number of things, ranging from monotonous ghosts with a dark sence of humour, to ghosts susceptible to crippling panic attacks, to overly exciteable and cheerful ghosts.
A corpse's ghost thends to either resemple the corpse in colouration and "physical" traits, or to their favourite trait in the same ways. while the shape, colours and even "decorations" aghost has doesn't determine it's strength/rarity, its size does. Larger the ghost, the stronger the emotions it feels, and sometimes even the wider the range of emotions it has. Some corpses have the ability to temporanty "merge” with their ghost, while others are constantly surrounded by their ghost like a shield.
Only the strongest of corpses and ghosts can be permanently merged, resulting in the abilty to raise more corpses as sugarmancers.
Merging
Corpses have no real “magic powers” of their own, and rely on their ghosts to supply any form of magical abilites, These abilites are somewhat limited in strength depending on the strength of the ghost itself. Beyond this restriction however, the possible abilities of a corpse and ghost working in unison are almost unlimited. These abilites can be, but are not limited to, hypnosis, telekinesis, telepathy, and in stronger cases, the ability to harden the “candy blood” found inside the corpses, bringing it above the skin ond forming into sharp, rock candy-esque weapons.
When a corpse and ghost are permanently merged, they con be, but are NOT always, susceptible to mood swings, and sometimes appear to have some form of multiple personality disorder, switching between the corpse's and ghost's personalities as the dominant being in the corpse. Some of the more unstable corpses have even been known to be completely possessed by their ghosts, making rash decisions and even losing their humanity entirely.
