A young unicorn. Unicorns are an uncommon magical creature whose horns are a much sought-after ingredient in traditional, magical medicine. They rarely show themselves, often preferring to take the form of humans or other creatures in order to avoid predators. Without their horns, they lose their magical abilities, long lives, and ability to reproduce.

Destino came to be as a result of an experiment. An immortal mage, Miel, was tasked with finding a way to farm for unicorn horns. With the population of unicorns being as small as it is and with their reproductive means being yet unknown, Miel chose to attempt to create unicorns - or at least grow their horns - through artificial means. Although he worked for decades on this project, the magic ultimately backfired on him and he was killed.
