biography
like many other stars, memini was born in the curve of the waxing crescent of the earth's moon. her stardust was fused together by the magic of the moon's glow. but for memini, something was different and deeper from the start: instead of streaking off into space like the countless other stars the moon had made, memini alone gravitated right back to her. the moon and her most beloved star stayed together for a long, long time. memini, ever the late shooter, orbited the moon over and over: memorizing every glimmer, nesting in the soft craters, only growing more enamored. the moon was amused and endeared by memini's devotion, and one dreamy night, she wrapped an adoring beam around her acolyte. memini was so infatuated with the moon that she concentrated all of her energy to make the beam a permanent part of herself: a ring orbiting around her head, surrounded by clusters of sparkly moondust, formed by her memories and love.
but as beautiful as it was, it couldn't last forever. with the force of her true self emerging, memini grew bigger and bolder and brighter, her eyes began to flutter open, and her mouth and dress began to form. in the end, the moon could not bear memini's weight and light. slowly and then all at once, the winds of supernovas — maybe far off, or maybe within memini herself — tore the little star away from her moon forever. memini was sick with heartbreak and grief; it nearly killed her. but eventually she found her strength within herself. now she roams the galaxies, righteous and brave, and her dependence on moonlight has long faded along with the clusters of moondust around her ring. she has not lost her craving for the same kind of deep love and peace she found in her tether to her moon, nor has she lost her reverence for the memories of her old life. but she's okay figuring it out alone, and hopefully finding her true home in the cosmos someday.

- memini's dress is part of her body.
- memini stores her memories in the ring around her head. her rings change appearance / color / shape / etc. depending on the memory that is resonating most with her at any given moment. when a memory is being stored or triggered for her, her ring glows.
personality notes
- deeply emotional, reflective, devoted, and increasingly courageous and righteous.
- i've chosen a theme song for each one of my characters that i feel both represents them melodically / lyrically *and* that i discovered around the same time i acquired them / has personal significance to that time in my life. memini's theme song is gymnopedie no. 1 - erik satie (my all-time favorite classical song)!
history notes
- memini is my starsona. she is deeply personal and important to me and probably the character i most strongly resonate and identify with (maybe even more so than pepe these days!).
- i came up with memini while doodling in my 10th grade english class during the first week of school on august 28, 2014. she was inspired by a profoundly intense cr*sh i had on one of my t*achers at the time (🥴)... but eventually, as i grew out of the crush, memini took on a more general significance and importance to me.
- memini's name means "i remember" in latin. (it's probably not pronounced that way though but idc lol)
