Chihiro is a sweet, daydreamy girl who lives with Kiba and company.
She lived the normal life of a young, aspiring, college student until tragedy struck her family; she was involved in a serious car crash that resulted in amnesia and the development of narcolepsy. In the time that followed, Chihiro lost her ability to tell dreams from reality, and in a day-dreamy haze, wandered away from the city and into the wooded area surrounding Cardio. There she encountered Kiba and company, who helped her cope with her disposition and finally accept reality as what it is.
Chihiro falls in love with Astatine, who was a major source of support for her, and later they have a child named Bismuth.

Appearance 

Chihiro is a short, thin Asian girl who easily comes off as cute due to both her looks and naive disposition. Her childish features make her appear younger than she actually is, at least for now.

Her hair is light brown, thin, and straight; usually worn down or in a ponytail. When left down, her hair reaches to about halfway down her back, and her bangs are always kept well trimmed.

Her eyes are light brown.

Attire

Chihiro tends to wear cute or girly clothing with a dash of color and avoids plain clothes like t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans. Hats, scarves, hair accessories, simple bracelets and necklaces, skirts both long and short, dresses, and pretty blouses can all be found in her wardrobe.

Fall and Winter Clothes: She wears plenty of scarves and thin, long, flowy sweaters.

Spring and Summer Clothes: Tends to wear sundresses and those floppy sun-hats.

Narcolepsy: Tends to succumb to periods of sleepiness throughout the day and periods of wakefulness at night, certain stresses can trigger cataplexy, has remarkably vivid Hypnagogic hallucinations and dreams, and occasionally has no memory of performing certain tasks [Automatic behavior during a sleep episode] all symptoms but the chronic daytime sleepiness were triggered after Chihiro was involved in a car accident.

Amnesia: She lost bits of her memory after the car accident.

Archeology: Due to her passion for it and tidbits of her studies that she can remember, Chihiro actually knows a fair bit more about archeology than the average person. This culminates in her knowing a bit about the necessary skills, the history behind it, and interesting discoveries and stories.

Story

Backstory

Chihiro had always dreamed of becoming an archeologist, even as a young child, so once out of high school she enrolled in college and got a job at a gardening store/ flower shop to help pay the bills. She was quick to embrace the responsibilities of adult life and had the support of her family and a few close friends to help her along.

One evening Chihiro and her family were going out to eat together for the first time in a while when their car was struck by another vehicle. The other driver had been drunk, and the accident was deemed entirely their fault. [It's likely that Chihiro's family was killed or severely injured, but it hasn't been determined.] Chihiro suffered a head injury, resulting in amnesia and the worsening of what was previously thought to only be isolated events of periods of irregular sleep and occasional daytime tiredness; she was diagnosed with narcolepsy after the accident, and failed to remember key details about herself or her family. Close friends and other family members came to her aid, and the tragedy might have even made it to a few news outlets.

Over a blurry amount of time, Chihiro began to have difficulty discerning reality from her vivid dreams; her amnesia and hospitalized state did little to help in this discrepancy. But the final nail in the coffin would come in the form of a *supernatural event of some kind, perhaps even the event that leads to her later 'disappearance.' Having witnessed something impossible occur before her very eyes, her views of dream and reality became more rigid- in the wrong order.

Through an *unknown event or series of circumstances, Chihiro wandered off by herself, ending up in the woods outside of her home city of Cardio. 

Kiba's Place

Through the casual warping of circumstance common of the forests of Cardio, Chihiro found herself wandering into the area surrounding Kiba's Place.

Over time she befriended the residents, who did their best to help her, just as others had done for them. It seemed to be the nature of this section of forest to take in those that have become lost amid the vastness of existence and put them on a new path. Chihiro was no exception and quickly took to caring for the residents where she could.

A missing person report was filed, but it's likely that the news never reached the Manor, or if it did, it was cast aside. Perhaps someone who knew didn't have the heart to tell her, or knew that she would remain in the same predicament back in the city, or simply didn't want her to leave quite yet.

With the help of her newfound friends, Chihiro got over her confusion between reality and dreams and decided to stay at the manor and make her new life here with the people she had come to love. She had lost whoever she could have been, but that was fine. She was happy with who she was now.

Onward

Chihiro fell in love with Astatine, and eventually, the pair had a daughter whom they named Bismuth.

Author's notes

• She is a precious child.
• Her significant other is named Astatine, which is element number 85 on the periodic table. Their child is named Bismuth, element number [__], which is my favorite element. But, as it turns out, bismuth and astatine actually have a connection with one another! An isotope of astatine can be created by exposing bismuth to alpha particles.
• Originally, Chihiro was going to have a genetic ability that enables her to perfectly comprehend written language. It was going to play into her fascination with archeology. That idea, however, was dropped fairly early on, partially due to the nature and implications of the ability.
