After the death of her husband, Amnesty has returned to her ancestral home, where her two surviving sisters, Clemency and Verity, have remained. The old building had frightened Amnesty as a child, with its many empty and dusty rooms, phantom noises and bumps in the night. But she was alone in her fright, with her sisters seemingly content where they were. Their father was distant and cold, always away on different business ventures. Amnesty had left the old manor as soon as she was able; at 17 years of age she married a young man and moved as far away from that old house and its apparitions as she could. But after the mysterious and tragic death of her husband, she has now returned, and the house is as eerie as it ever was. But something has changed within the manor, the shadows are longer, and the childish fear that bathes her memories of the place are nothing compared to truly sinister presence that has invaded the old walls.
