Denice is one of several young heroes that have banded together to protect the city of Erydon against various attacks. He does so as the hero known as D-Dog, and exclusively uses his wolf form to do so. He works most with his younger brother, Kes Houlyr, and currently resides in a house that his mentor figures Graham and Dallas have offered up to them. He comes from a very large family of werewolves that lives way out on private land. At 17, he moved out to the city to experience life and quickly fell in love with the city. At 19, when Kes came to join him, he began to take up the hero act. He's young but spirited, and he's very active and outgoing.

While not techinically the leader of the small group of heroes, Denice often finds himself sharing the position with (TBN) and working with her both on and off duty. He tries to look after everyone, a habit of growing up with such a large family.
