Kirci was once in love with Mr. Dark, the mysterious and charismatic carnival host. When he rejected her, she moved on with her life and had a daughter-- Svana--  with another man. She used to tell her daughter fantastic stories about the carnival, and the magical deals that Mr. Dark used to make. As a way to get revenge on Mr. Dark, a powerful sorceress put a curse on Kirci, that she might one day meet up with Mr. Dark and follow him around in hopeless obsession, which she did once her daughter was injured and made a deal with a member of the carnival to join them in exchange of being healed. The curse lasted until Mr. Dark fell in love with Kirci, and then she forgot about the carnival until her daughter retrieved her again. She still visits the carnival occasionally to see her daughter. Her memories are being slowly restored, but she is no longer obsessed with Mr. Dark.
