Joo Boutella is born in an up world of Canada. Her mother dies when she at her young age, the only family left raising her is the father. All the year in her life, she makes new friends and loses friends. She has a bit hard time having a relationship because of most of is toxic friendship, so she can't deal with it so she goes violent and slaps, causing getting trouble in school.

Why she does that in school, well she learns this from his dad how to be tough and show some courage toward others. The father is worried about her only daughter so he trains. besides that, Joo also learns on another side of the street, aka the hood. So hanging out with the wrong crowd but it not the bad one, but a good crowd.

How she becomes a candy maker, well she plays with her toy, one the toy is food/candy maker one, even though it pretty much a crappy toy to play with. she plays with it but the toy wasn't given her anything to do to make those. Joo goes to the candy store to see the progress of how candy making work in the store.  The owner came and suggest go to course but for her young age. The owner also an open class for a young kid who wants to learn how candy made so she is lucky lived in the area. every weekday after school, she will go there to learn.

After a few years of training in candy making. She earns know the good title for her sassy tough attitude and being honest with people she talks to. People nickname her as the "Hard Candy." This caught the attention of the whole world how this girl made candy but with the little nasty attitude, she gives. appearing in reality and cooking show. but revealing how she acts toward people giving them a bit bad impression about her but sometimes good. She gets told by a lot of people the way she acted. But she doesn't care and earn the title as the Ultimate Candy Maker

Joo says that how tv work, and want her act this way but the time she gets into fights after a fight, it hard to believe what word she got to say even she just a girl with a sassy tone or girl who is easy get mad with quick, being dramatic and fight people a lot, so she ends up in anger management class.

Joo is a headstrong tough girl who shows some strong attitude who don't give a damn thing. She can be real with you either you like it or not but she not a fake type of person who stabs someone on the back, she honest girl with a bit harsh word but she will support you. if you being fake around her, then she just is bitch toward you and makes your life miserable if you try to mess around her and their friend. Joo gets mad real quick and will smack a girl if they asking for a argue and a fight. Joo is a good person but she just being real and protective herself from danger, even she gets scared but she ain't backing down.
