PERSONALITY

A typical sweet oldie. She's always there to reassure others when they need it. Toka tries her best to encourage others, and has a soft spot for shy kits who just need some kind words. Not one for competition or sour relationships, she tends to shrug everything off. This rabbit is rather knowledgeable and has a good understanding of the area. She knows the best way to take shortcuts on tasks and is happy to share her methods with others, though she doesn't take them herself, wanting to put effort into her work.

However, she can be quite grumpy, especially if she doesn't get a break from working. She doesn't take kindly to being woken up too early either. In these cases, she gets fired up and is overly reactive to everything; though she will apologise later. Toka is a little greedy and doesn't mind tricking others to get what she wants; from stories to scare kits away from something, or telling lies to make another rabbit move.

STORY

Toka had an average life growing up, born after a war with a rival warren. Her sister was gifted with the abilities of a seer. The two were very close and Toka always believed her sisters visions; though her sister struggled to decipher them at first, making her predictions inaccurate. Toka heard stories of how her parents fought against the other warren. Perhaps she should have been inspired, but in fact it disgusted her. At a young age, she was determined to bring peace to all the warrens. Somehow.

She would collect gifts when foraging by herself. She gave these to other warrens, always sparing a bit for her own. However, she ended up falling in love with a doe in another warren. Their relationship went unnoticed. In fact, they were never caught. Her sister was aware something was going on, through hazy dreams, but she had no idea what. While sneaking into the other warren's territory to meet her lover, like she had done many times before, she was attacked by patrolling rabbits. She managed to escape, but not without injury. Toka covered this up as her wandering too far whilst foraging. They believed her. This sparked a second war. Toka did not take part in the fighting, as she was still a young doe.

Her father lost his sight as the result of an infection from a severe battle wound. He remained as cheerful as ever but Toka blamed herself. Putting a halt to her hopes for peace, she spent time with her father instead. Her relationship with her lover broke down as Toka barely left the warren. Soon after, her sister received a vision of floods in their warren. No-one believed her, as her visions still had not proven themselves to be quite true. Except Toka. Seeing as the other rabbits would not believe them, the two started preparing a small 'haven' on higher ground. Toka learned about healing and began stockpiling herbs there. Of course, the floods eventually came.

Most managed to get to safety. Toka was kept busy for a while, tending to injured rabbits. Even after the floods, she didn't get a break. The warren needed heavy repairs and there were a few more injuries from collapses during digging. Even the warren they had fought with previously helped out once they heard the news. Unfortunately, Toka did not see her former love interest there. It took a while, but they were finally able to return home. Toka's sister was taken more seriously after that, and the warren prepared for future floods.

A few years later, the warren decided to move on after a series of devastating floods. But Toka stayed behind. There were no visions from her sister. She just felt the need to stay. This was her home. Perhaps she still hoped she would see her love again too. Just like that, Toka was left alone in Mistwood. She knew the new warren location just in case she changed her mind. But she never did.
