Anomaly: Parenthood

When their daughter did not come home that night from playing outside, they knew something was wrong.

All three of them ran into the night, wishing to the gods that they find their little girl.

One wished he could hear like a wolf
So he may locate her in the night.

One wished he could speak like a wolf
So he may shout loud enough to get her to come.

One wished he could smell like a wolf
So he may use his nose to find her even in the darkness.

And the gods answered their calls.
They became like wolves, and found their little girl.

She ran in fear from the monsters she saw, and wished to the gods she could run like a wolf
So the beasts may not catch her.

And the gods answered her calls.

To this day, they run.
