Background:

Born in a nearby rural hospital, Benny has spent his entire life in Texas, Missouri, raised by his single mother. While some bullying occurred throughout his schoolyears due to his intellectual disability and blooming queerness, Benny mostly weirdly converted the highly conservative, insular town into being mindful about disability and... tolerant towards queer identities through his endless and enthusiastic kindness. After vocational school, he managed to get a job as an assistant mechanic in a neighboring town, and that was where he was tasked with repairing the beaten-up vehicle of an eccentric storm-chaser named Fai Dong. Later, he and his new husband would also take in an embittered baby adult named Cas under their wings.
