“ I look into their eyes and all I see is fear”
Pandora likes to be solitary, and is often walking alone. When he was first born he was probably just like any other new Faerin, ready to explore the world. But that was before he noticed it. The shifty glances, the way the others looked at him. At first he didn’t understand, but even the other Faerin’s that he played with began giving him those same looks. It wasn’t until after he had first made contact with humans that he heard the word that those glances said: “Monster.” Those looks made him realize that though he was practically the same as the other Faerins, he wasn’t really. He remembered that when he was younger those shards sticking out of him had hurt people. He ran away from everyone. But he didn’t dare go near the humans again, especially those that had previously interacted with his more “normal” kin. He already had enough of their words to know to stay away. Words like, “unnatural” “Freak of nature” and of course, the ever-present “monster”. Nowadays he wanders far away from others, hiding from them. Sometimes he will sit in the sunlight when there is no one around, closing his eyes because he doesn’t want to see the glint off of those things that make him so very unnatural. He remembers the days where it didn’t matter that he wasn’t “normal,” but those days had passed and he can only look back on them with longing. He has never approached any other Faerin since he had ran away from them all, and does not go near them because he’s a little scared inside that if he does, he’ll start believing that he is a monster
