 48-C was retrieved from 72-year old Mary Heartwood's living room on the 14th of september 2045. It was contained in an old fish tank where it was being fed scraps of meat by Mary, who claimed it was a tropical fish she purchased from an unknown seller. The exact location is unknown. 48-C was not removed from the fish tank and was brought into low-hazard containment, where it was deemed harmless enough as it seemed to not react to the presence of living beings. The containment location of 48-C has been updated after recent events proving it was far more hazardous than previously believed. 48-C's first incident involved the overseers of 48-C to forget to feed it, causing a lower-class personell worker, Brandon Waters, to have lost his left hand as it lunged at it when the tank was opened. From that point on 48-C was fed a 500 grams of raw beef every week to prevent further incidents. The second, third, and fourth incidents all involved testing with what types of foods 48-C responded to, each resulting in a worker's hand getting damaged. The fifth incident, the death of Julia Hodgkins, was the cause of its relocation to high hazard containment. Julia Hodgkins was instructed to place her hand in the tank five minutes after 48-C had consumed its weekly meal. 48-C consumed Hodgkin's hand before escaping its tank and proceeding to consume her in entirety, gaining extra mass equal to her body weight. 48-C refused to return to its tank until fire was used to frighten it back inside, where it was promptly moved locations. 48-C had escaped its tank containment within chamber 405 and has since blocked all recording equipment within the containment chamber.

DESCRIPTION:

48-C can be described as a black mass of an unidentified substance similar to liquid honey in consistency. There are two parts to 48-C, its actual body and the substance it excretes to create its "nest". 48-C's body is made of the same substance it excretes, but solidified. It is humanoid in shape, having a rat-like tail, clawed feet and hands, a messy hairdo, pointed ears, and four eyes. It has been noted that while it seems to not have a mouth, this is but a facade. 48-C does not speak to people vocally, but through telepathy that sounds as if it were speaking from all around the target. It can speak to multiple targets at once. 48-C's mouth is only used for consuming and the rare, animalistic noise such as a snarl or a hiss. 48-C has two rows of sharp, black teeth, and its innards appear to be a complete blackness as well.

The substance 48-C excretes functions as additional limbs as long as it is connected to 48-C. It is able to reconnect to pools of it if disconnected from eachother. The substance seems to primarily be used in the same manner as a spider's web. It stores food in piles covered by the substance, creates various traps, and seems to also use it for simple decoration.

KNOWN ABILITIES AND EFFECTS:

 48-C is able to block any and all signals relating to streaming video and audio to different locations, causing security cameras to be made obsolete in its containment. It seems to be aware when machinery is recording it, and will destroy it promptly when it is placed in its chamber. Any human workers that are placed in its chamber are swiftly killed and dismembered to be consumed later.

48-C is able to harden and soften the substance it excretes, allowing for it to build structures such as traps.
