Keene is a very charismatic, flirty man known notoriously for having been single his entire life. He is an excellent leader, being very attentive to his people's needs, and is rather high minded with a strong sense of morality/integrity. However he is a compulsive liar and is fairly arrogant, thinking himself and his guild above the law. Keene is willing to break the law and let people do whatever they want.

Much of Keene's childhood is unknown. Keene met Arellano in the Empire she noticed Keene in a duel match. Arellano, who had started a new guild recently, seeked Keene's power and determination. Initially he declined, saying he didn't do 'guild' things, preferring to be a lone wolf. In a few weeks, captivated by Arellano's determination he decided to join the Guild of Running Winds. At the birth of Shyanne Khun Arellano, Keene found interest in the child. As the child grew up he became a secondary father figure to Shyanne, teaching the young girl about fighting and combat. When the Guild of Running Winds was disbanded, Keene gave up on finding Arellano much to Leati and Shyanne's hatred. In the next years he formed the Mars Guild... preparing to rise up.
