Jean is a sweet man who works as a gardener at a tropical greenhouse. He appears to be rather carefree, and he is somewhat of a flirt. He lives in a rundown city mansion with seven other roommates, and occasionally works as a figure drawing model for the local university for extra cash.

Summary
Jean grew up with his single mother and no other family in the household. He would occasionally see his older sister, who lived with some relatives, and his grandmother would often help watch him while his mother worked when he was a small child. He lived in a small, and often lonely home, but he was well loved by his dysfunctional family.
He moved out when he was just 19, and started to attend college. It was here he fell into a passionate relationship with a slightly older man who was a bartender. The man quickly became abusive, and after a few years it became intolerable to Jean. The breaking point was when they were fighting while his partner was driving, and they ended up getting into a car accident that left him blind in one eye.
Shortly after the accident, he dropped out of college. He never felt like he was suited for it anyways, and that it would be too expensive to switch majors to something he cared about. Now he just coasts through life, making ends meet by living a very humble lifestyle. He works hard and parties harder, and has an extensive network of working class friends who work to support each other.
