Profile
Andrew Efrem can't help but consider himself the luckiest man alive. Sure he was born blind and has never been to the surface of his homeworld, but the former applied to every member of his subterranean tribe of Vehema, and the latter felt like a non-issue, given the horror stories he'd been privy to about those who'd made the trek to Viscuou's inhospitable exterior. During his youth, when presented with the possibility of a life spent farming roots or care-taking domesticated spine-moles for food, he'd opted to do neither. Instead, he set his sights on joining the Overseer's security force, a task fraught with danger and a notoriously high-turnover rate for those unlucky enough to be called away from the city's closest tunnels.
But join he did, and to great success, catching the eye of even the new Overseer herself. and in ways he hadn't quite intended. Before long, the ambitious fox had found himself a post as both a Citadel Guard and as Overseer Thea's new mate, siring several children with her, bringing a new, more personal dimension to his role as protector. Both sight and the surface were things he'd never felt any need to understand, especially when what he had right in front of him already felt like paradise.
When not training or out on assignment, the doting Andrew rarely strays far from his charges, picking at bugs and fur knots he finds upon them, much to the embarrassment of his three children.
