Personality

Marina’s youthfulness shines in her personality. To sum it up, Marina is very friendly, enthusiastic, boisterous, prone to trouble-making, and has a bit of bluntness that makes her an amusing person to interact with. She enjoys getting along with others and being on good terms with everyone around her, after all, it makes it easier to have fun! Not to mention, it gives her connections in case she happens to not want to do the homework. While Marina isn’t the worst troublemaker, she will partake in rule-breaking shenanigans with others on occasion just to spice things up a bit! Marina wants to have fun but without much cost to her so… better to do it with others, right? She is a chipper young girl who will bother anyone and everyone to hang out with her. Although comedic, sometimes Marina’s bluntness can turn people off from her because she will occasionally say things that she shouldn’t. Marina doesn’t mind all that much, though.

On the surface, Marina almost seems more suited for Gryffindor, doesn’t she? She’s practically the opposite of what people associate with Slytherin, but don’t get it twisted. While Marina can be silly and blunt, she is smart (socially). Marina is very resourceful when it comes to her connections and will often use them to get things she wants/needs (never anything malicious, mostly for small favors like homework or getting out of trouble or just for people to hang out with if she’s bored). It’s very sly of her, but she’d never admit that! She isn’t exactly a skilled student by any means (just look at that awful history of magic grade) but she is intelligent in other means. Even if Marina doesn’t like to admit it, she likes to be acknowledged as someone with a lot of connections and as popular. Marina has big goals for herself and while her grades won’t speak much for her, her other aspects will. Marina is cunning in this way, but that’s for later.

Backstory

Marina was born to a wix mother (Lissandra Estrelle) and muggle father. Although Marina has met her father and even spends time with him during summers, she does not know him very well. She grew up with Lissandra and her older sister, Isla Vavilov, in the Wizarding World. Although Isla and Marina were born from different fathers, the two get along very well. Marina’s upbringing was peaceful for the most-part and most of her life was spent being excited for receiving her letter to Hogwarts. Fortunately for her, she got her letter on April 20 when she turned 11! Needless to say, she is very excited for her journey at Hogwarts!

• Marina is right-handed
• Marina is extremely expressive. She seems to throw her entire body into expressing what she’s feeling, making it hard to hide any of her emotions.
• Marina does not have the best hearing. She will often ask people to repeat stuff because she couldn’t catch what they said.
• She kicks open most doors when she needs to get somewhere.
• Her favorite subjects are transfiguration, charms, and flying.
• She is very skilled at getting what she wants from people. Marina is a very smooth talker and at times, is arguably good at manipulating people.
• Her favorite food is pepperoni pizza. It is something special she doesn’t get to enjoy very often, but she does when she visits muggle London.
