About
It is rumored there was a goddess who could paint rivers with her tails, but a terrible fate broke her spirits and she long since abandoned that task. Tamakawa lives in solitude in a lake of her own making, scaring off any and all who dare step into her domain. She is ill-humored and equally foul mouthed, but there is clearly more to that loudness if one could manage to get through it all.
Tamakawa was venerated by those around her for having developed her element at an early age. She had an affinity for learning and a great amount of wisdom to come from it that earned her a solid place among the gods once she quickly mastered her abilities. Despite this she was always easily persuaded by her own emotions. And one day, she just vanished...
As more and more dry seasons began to overtake the land many began to speculate about the river goddess' disappearance being the cause of it. Few have managed to discover her hiding place, and those who do leave having nearly drowned with nobody believing them. Bits and pieces of the truth to her isolation have been scattered around, with the most common being the tale of a heartbroken mother.
It would seem only her brother has the ability to sense her presence, but he refuses to reveal her location.

Trivia
She was once respinsible for painting rivers upon the land, however she stopped after giving up her place as the river kami. Still she can be a dangerous force as she manipulates her waters into raging waves to scare off any would-be intruders to her abode.
It is said she can somewhat be loosened up to offerings of sake however, though few are brave enough to confirm this.
She likes to care for aquatic life within her water tails, and has a prefference for koi fish.

She seems to see him as an annoying presence nowadays. All he ever comes to do is brag about his accomplishment in the celestial planes, taking away the peace and quiet she desires within her isolation.
