Trillium

Trill, like most Z'mai has spent his entire early life on the hidden Z'mai homeworld: Z'matras. Unlike other Z'mai however, Nature Z'mai are very much social creatures. Most Z'mai villages are small and their populations fluctuate frequently due to the average's Z'mai's independant nature, but Nature Z'mai have large families and prefer to be close together and keep in touch. Trill is no different! He still lives in the village, in his own home but next door to his family and visits them almost daily, often always having dinner with them.

When Trill isn't spending time with his family, he's out exploring every inch of the forest and sometimes slightly beyond, taking note of every plant and animal he can find and writing snippets about them in his journal. Then when he's not doing either, he's holed up in his home, expanding on his notes into a format that would later be turned into critically acclaimed encyclopedias that spread across the planet and lead to great successes and discoveries in medicinal fields. He never needed to collect specimens due to his ability to draw a distinct detailed sketch of anything he's seen at least once before from memory, but he still found himself collecting every type of flower he could find, so they adorn his entire home from top to bottom.

One thing he always wished he could do was go further beyond his homeland. He wanted to explore more and log more discoveries, but the thought of being alone was terrifyingly daunting and enough to keep him from his passions. Almost as if answering prayers, he met a Stone Z'mai named Micah who he quickly became close friends with, and eventually found out was a huge fan of his work, and seemed equally enamored with his ideas and intent to travel, even going so far as to offer to travel with him, which of course made him ecstatic.

The nearly inseparable duo now spend countless hours traveling and helping each other. Their adventures included finding Trill new plants and animals to log, and sometimes even finding Micah new books to adorn her collection. He finds himself more and more often after their journeys, spending time in Micah's home to continue to expand on his discoveries in new additions to his encyclopedic series, as her company fills him with a warmth even his endless knowledge couldn't help him describe.
