No library, bookstore, or airport duty-free shop is complete without a copy of a book in the Red Crater Saga. The multifaceted sci-fi epic, set in the midst of an intergalactic territory war, has taken the world by storm since its debut four years ago. The vivid description of the settings and action-packed, character- and faction-driven tales detailed through the novels have kept readers thrilled for three books so far, with an unknown number more still to come. There's even already buzz about a TV or film adaption. Perhaps most surprising, though, is the writer: Akron Merieux is only 17, and started work on the series when he was 13. Active within his series' fandom, Akron's body of work already has people comparing him to the likes of Frank Herbert and Arthur C Clarke. Looking at him though... You'd probably think he was just some metalhead kid. Who was kinda sleepy. I mean you wouldn't be wrong! He's just both is all.
