Phenotype/Appearance

Amber's long, straight fur and hair are always perfectly groomed. She has gray-brown fur that darkens to black towards her limbs and spine. The fur on her hood and her hair are black as well. The feathers on her hood are rounded and copper-colored at the ends.

Two black horns stick straight up from Amber's head, and each of her fingers and toes are tipped with a sharp black claw. Her mouth is filled with pointed white teeth. And her eyes are copper with oval pupils, ringed with white sclera.

Backstory

Amber was born a high-class Italian woman in the 16th century. She grew up spoiled, never knowing any sort of real hardship. As she grew into adulthood, she became obsessed with her own beauty, and ways to enhance it.

This would lead to her own demise.

Solutions of belladonna were a popularly used in her time to dilate the pupils, which made women appear more attractive. Amber used a bit too much, and fatally poisoned herself. Her vanity barred her from heaven, so she was sent to hell. Unable to cope with a life cut short and losing the oppurtunity to become a mother, Amber became corrupted into a demon. She embraced this new aspect of herself fully, abandoning her old name and doing her best to forget her human life.

When she was evicted from hell, she felt betrayed, but not enough to completely shake her loyalty to hell. She took on the disguise of a black bear and made a makeshift treehouse as a shelter from the elements. Although some things about being evicted from hell were awful, there was one thing she was looking forward to: the posibility of having children of her own.
