- Leah is often the one taking on the caretaker role in her family. Her parents don't do a lot and her older brother just isn't very good at taking care of others.
- She has a tendency to get curious and snoop around so she knew that her mother had been married to someone before. She didn't know that she had kids, though, since her mother didn't keep any mementos.

Leah is a very kind girl who always tries her hardest. She can be pretty stubborn and driven, but her goal is always to help and do what she thinks is best. She loves all of her siblings very dearly, though she admits to not liking either of her parents very much at all. She worries over everyone and takes a lot of responsibility on herself for things others do, something her brother Dylan often tells her she should stop doing.
Leah's not afraid to speak her mind and make decisions when she needs to, but she can sometimes take a bit of time to think about it and decide what's best. If there's no time, though, she's more than willing to take a chance. Over all she's mostly very cheerful, and it's very hard to keep her down.
Leah grew up as the second oldest of five children, as far as she knew. Her parents were never very attentive to her or her siblings and, in fact, her mother could be very emotionally and verbally abusive. Leah often worried about her older brother Dylan, as he usually received the brunt of it to protect the rest of them, but he would usually brush her off. While Dylan took on the abuse, Leah would take up many of the household tasks such as looking after her siblings (and often parents), cooking, cleaning, and so on. Growing up she found Archery was a good escape from everything going on at home.
Leah, and the rest of her siblings, were unaware of her Mother's previous family until her older half-brother Chase showed up one day. It was news to all of them that their mother had been married and had two children before, which didn't help Leah's opinion of her mother. Although wary at first, she eventually grew to like her older brother and wanted to meet her older sister too. Unfortunately Chase would have to leave before he could do much to help them (with the war going on and all), but Leah began to hope for a better life with her siblings one day. Unfortunately Dylan didn't see it the same way.
Dylan began to hold a grudge against Chase for leaving them when they needed him. Eventually their city would also be attacked and the siblings would be separated from their parents, but Dylan would eventually decide to leave and join the fight when asked by Paten. Leah, left on her own, did her best to take care of her siblings and eventually she developed powers very similar to Chase's; matter manipulation. She would later, by chance, run into Rowan, Lexi, and Sabrina. Rowan and Lexi would offer to take in her younger siblings for awhile while She and Sabrina, who was also developing powers, set off to find their older brothers and help out in whatever way they could.
Being the two oldest Dylan and Leah were pretty close, and Leah often worries about him. After he leaves her worries only increase and she decides to try and find him so they can talk things over.
Leah grows to like Chase quickly and wants to learn more about him and her older sister since, until recently, she didn't even know they existed. She seeks him out after finding out about her abilities.
She meets Sabrina by chance and the two decide to look for their older brothers. They grow close very quickly, sharing a lot of interests and similarities, and both enjoy teasing their brothers.
