Once a 100% organic Hacker Cypher was paid to hack into one of Glitch tec’s satellite labs. Lied to and mislead by his employers Cypher tripped one too many hidden defenses. Earning himself the attention of 503 and nearly immediate capture followed by interrogation. Luckily Cypher was more than willing to rat out his employers after finding out they had just sent him at Glitch tec just to fail. This amused 503 and 404 so much 404 offered Cypher a choose. Agree to join her employment and get revenge on his earlier contact, or get his memory wiped and let go. Cypher choose the employment option though he may have since come to regret it. Cypher joined Glitch tec and was put in charge of the HR department. 404 having started to try and expand out into hiring more organic help for some labs.

Outside of being HR head Cypher has many other responsibilities. Often helping 8-bit do repairs and respond to security breaches 503 might discover. One of Cyphers earliest interaction with his new career in Glitch tec was becoming a cyborg. 404 wanting to test some modifications on an organic was very careful with her first “willing” subject. Editing Cypher lower legs into strong metallic boots and inserting several cybernetic software into his spine and arms. This allowing Cypher the same wireless access to Glitch tec systems as 503 and 8-bit, however the range is limited to whatever lab he is currently stationed in.

Cypher was also 404 main test subject for the prototype recall system. A system she now uses to recall registered organic employees and allies back from the land of the dead.  Much like her recall system with her robots 404 can use this to resummons new bodies with intact memories of those that might have perished in some way while at work. Much like the respawn system in video games. Though the first few tests with cypher are not something the cate wishes to talk about. For it also cemented his employment in Glitch tec as permanent.

More cold and focused don his work cypher has a dry sense of humor and can be rather blunt dealing with others. Most often the one sent to deal with Hive or his second kelloge as he is immune from the corruption interacting with them faces and serves as a way for 404 to get information off of them. He is often sent into dangerous meetings and questionable alliance with those 404 doesn’t entirely trust as with the recall system his mortal body is expendable and replaceable. Something cypher has honestly grown cold to sometimes using the fact to return to Hq faster by offing himself. It’s not to much to complain about as Cypher does enjoy his work and freedom to test his skills. Yet he’s just not one to look to positive on things.
