Yukon, truth be told, is kind of a poser. He was a mega loser in high school, & uncomfortable in his own skin (he was overweight, or so he thought), & has never dated anyone. Taking some time off before going back to school, he put essentially all his time into learning to "be cool." He went from having no idea how to even hold a guitar to being fairly proficient, losing a lot of weight, getting into shape, & literally dumping his entire wardrobe for some new duds. The unglamorous part being his full time busboy job he'd endured during that time. But I digress, he now thinks he's top dog & will continue to fake it till he makes it. Sure, he got into college, but he's really only there to fix his past failures, get a girl, have people ask HIM where he shops, & feel like he's worth something. Also, he's a terrible flirt. He truly thinks following a girl around & playing her music will win her over.
