Aspen Wisp is the captain of the Chthone Guard. She is charged with protecting the Queen.

Aspen is the mother of Little Shade. She is a single mother, and refuses to speak of the father, whoever he may be. Aspen adores her daughter, and tries her hardest to help Lil' work through her problems. Aspen Wisp is very intelligent and conniving, but masks it with cheerfulness. When in battle, however, the mask drops, and her ruthlessness and love for carnage shows true and clear.
