Yllene is one of Eimridge's most ancient goddesses, whose domains are motherhood and music. While some of her jokes may not always land their punchlines, her wisdom always finds its mark in the end. She seems to be very fond of Ruruna...?
She is happily married to Atrix, the Wings of Battle. It was said the skies themselves celebrated for 7 days and nights upon their wedding.
Remember how I said Yllene is fond of Ruruna? That's because Ruruna was originally her daughter: Koheia, Goddess of Hope. Upon losing to her fiance in an archery contest, Koheia pleaded with her mother for a chance to experience a full life just once before being married off. Seeing Ariel in need of redemption and knowing Edelweiss Village was doomed, she agreed to rebirth Koheia in Eimridge as Ruruna.
Unfortunately, the process of reincarnating a fully grown goddess into a human child tends to go quite awry. Koheia was fully reborn as Ruruna, and her memories (and old identity) were lost: something Yllene knew quite well could happen. She tries to look past it, thinking of it as a chance to watch her daughter grow up all over again... though part of her would always regret the bethrothal that lead to her losing Koheia forever.
