Kokoro is a wanderer of sorts. Quick to appear on places you wouldn’t expect, yet also quick to disappear once he has nothing much to do. As if he’s everywhere but nowhere at the same time. The chill man walks at his own pace, so long as it piques his interest, he would go wherever he wishes.

A curious mind after being secluded for years, Kokoro loves going outside to learn about the ever-changing world. He tends to talk to himself often and listen as others speak without them noticing him, only for them to wonder later how he even got there in the first place. Even between spirits, it’s easy for him to blend into the background- he is used to solitude where he gets little to no attention within the crowd. Not that he yearns for it, in fact, he only entertains whoever approaches him, even for a short while. With the habit of dishing compliments and sweet words out, Kokoro is attentive to the person he’s talking to. This also applies to his surroundings, making him sensitive to any disturbance caused by changes occurring around him. He was once a merchant, so it’s just natural for him to use information and talk his way through bargains. It may seem as though he is being inquisitive on other’s affairs, but his sole reason is to keep another glued to his company and possibly make a friend to depend on, even if it means getting forgotten by a human after he disappears.

What’s noteworthy about him is his down-to-earth outlook on life, focusing on the present times and not what would happen in the future. With his realist thinking, he doesn’t hope for too much and sees the world for how it is. If asked about his dreams, he wouldn’t be able to give an answer. Kokoro doesn’t see much on himself, he feels content as long as he is able to make sure that no harm would take place on the people he cares about. The humble man doesn’t brag about his achievements and never sees himself as part of the big picture. As a result, he is slow to understand his own emotions. Along with his passive disposition and reluctance to speak the truth, he keeps his inner thoughts to himself and suppresses any strong emotions as much as he could to prevent others from getting concerned for him. Constantly, he pushes the belief that “He wouldn’t be here if not for you”, giving more emphasis on others being the reason of his existence, perhaps as a form of eternal gratitude he once gave to his city.

Despite his lenient nature that made others question him in times of crisis, Kokoro has a strong will to endure and internalize problems. Being the doormat he is, his innate tolerance of whatever is thrown at him allowed him to be easily exploited, and that he tends to forget about himself leaves him vulnerable during these times. Unwilling to break the mood, he holds onto a two-faced facade to keep a pleasant atmosphere around despite feeling uncomfortable. However, his patience doesn’t last forever. As soon as he reaches his boiling point where he couldn’t handle his responsibilities anymore, he ends up breaking down, feeling angry and unsure about his actions.

Due to this, it is difficult for Kokoro to get close to somebody, but when he does, he is surprisingly loyal towards them, including the goddess. He cherishes and appreciates what he has, but like chocolate, he sticks to them often and is slow to let go.
