Born from a family of well-known magicians, Octavian knows that he's born for the same kind of greatness his family is. But such is not written for him. He didn't have strong magical blood within him. He was made the black sheep of his family, often shunned and ignored. Lack of magical abilities however gave him strength in potions and other breweries. He would often be cooped up in his room with a giant cauldron and an odd brew. He has great potential from his potion making skills but his family refused to see the greatness that Octavian could do.
So when he hears of Valkmore Academy, he packed his things and headed out. He asked for his family's permissions but they didn't care much about what he does and Octavian took it as letting him do whatever he wants.
