OKAY SO Valor’s one of my first pokemon gijinka (and really, one of my first proper online/RP characters). He was originally part of my trainer's team in the DA group Ultimate Battle Frontier (2010), then there was a bandwagon where he and other pokemon became human, and from RPs and plot progressions he developed from there.
Valor’s initial personality followed more of the aloof, super srs loner archtype and TBH he still... probably exudes that upon first impressions, though it's no longer intentional. But past interactions with other characters during UBF, and some well timed reality checks, wore down his harsher exterior -- in a good way! It allowed me to make him grow more mindful, and overall matured and solified his character considerably. He also gained a lot of meaningful relations with other characters, earning both tensions from rivalries and closer bonds in friendships.
In the same process, Valor became a lot more personal to me. I’ve gotten more in tune with writing/drawing him as a character and enjoy working with the challange of using him is different scenarios, and he's admitteldy one of my top favorite characters to use and develop to this day. I’m currently using and developing Valor even more as a pokehuman in the dA RP Group Pokemon Amie, and in several other AUs/verse I’m developing with other friends.
Valor's physical design as a Gallade gijinka hasn’t changed too much since UBF, though some notable design details include:
Crimson red eyes; dark green hair (white side-locks, blue highlight, shoulder-length); mesomorph build with fairly broad shoulders and toned muscles; wears Expert Belt and pair of combat blades.
