Tentacles are driven by Havlok's subconscious, basically having a mind of their own (kind of like a dog wagging its tail when it's happy). Tentacles might embrace or reach for things that Havlok is attracted to, even if he does not want to actively engage with said thing. Keep your food out of his reach!! The tentacle's movements are similar to earthworms, with the larger tentacles being more hefty and snake-like. Tentacles are less active during moments of rest or intense cold- they go into semi-hibernative states.
