ZUROOOO is my idjit dragon character. He first originated as my Amphisbaena OC in 2007, making him one of my oldest online characters. He was then revamped in 2010 as a dragon gijinka for the DA Group Voleros Saga, where he went thru huge development and character growth, not the least of which was gaining new friends and a [babe of a] girlfriend and family.
I also managed to get really in tune with writing Zuro's character, both in terms of dropping into his speech habits and also just thinking from his POV, both for the light scenarios and also the more serious ones. And yeahhhhh while I do refer to him as my "idjit dragon dork" or a simialr variant, he is genuinely one of my top favorite characters to develop and use, and I'm overall pretty happy with his growth since his recent revamp.
VolSa has since ended, but Zuro’s still being developed in a similar Mythical AU for fun between me and my friends. I’m also currently using him in Pokemon Amie as a Scrafty gijinka. Still, I consider his dragon gijinka design to be his main default, and some notable traits for this design include:
Emerald green eyes, with slit pupils and yellow sclera; golden blond hair; ectomorph build; pointed, expressive ears, with industrial & cuff piercings; eyelid markings (fine scaly texture); sharp canine teeth; Pair of horns; long, snake-like tail; wing tattoos on shoulder blades; Scales that extend from tail up back, between shoulder blades.
Zuro’s feral Amphisbena design -- which was revamped during VolSa -- was his orignal design, and is what I now consider his first alternate design. However it may be due for another revamp but the ref will do for now.
