Chifuyu

Chifuyu always had the nagging feeling that they were unwanted. It wasn’t as thought their grandparents didn’t show them love and they knew that their parents hadn’t chosen to leave this world, but they had left all the same. And then Fuyu’s sister left as well – although not so permanently as their parents. Fuyu was happy to have their grandparents to care for them, but worried about being a burden. They thought maybe if they trained hard and mastered their element, then they could make themselves useful. Seeing their grandparents light up each time they earned another tail, filled the young ice kit with pride. They wanted to be someone of use and someone their grandparents would be proud of after taking them in. That’s probably why they had always adopted such a quiet and polite demeanor. Their sister returned from her travels every once in a while, bringing stories as well as art and Chifuyu decided that they wanted to see the world as well. Their sister inviting them along made them feel as thought they might have been wrong about being unwanted. Now, they occasionally join their sister on travels, but always return home to their grandparents and friends at home. Like their sister, Chi took up art – although in the form of sculpture rather than painting – and enjoys telling stories. They have one friend in particular who is always home when they return and they look forward to telling him stories.
