Questions I've answered that I figure others might like to read!

Not all doggoons had clock spirits too right? As for where he used to live, since he's a mercenary/assassin where do you think he would originate from?

Oh and mine has two weapons: main being  double ended daggers and a secondary weapon of a collapsible bow and arrow (which is the reason he has archer's gloves). Is that possible to have?

Well yes and no!

Every doggoon has a cloak they bring with them so you could say the cloak 'spirit' is always there because it is from the shared adventures, experiences, memories and attachment that a spirit/soul is born. Normally they do not manifest, but they are always with you. Only those who have enough understanding of the arcane (such as emerdunnis) are able to conjure the 'manifestation' of their cloak spirit as they please (depending on how much pyre they have).

Using their cloak as a body (thus when the cloak spirit is about, the doggoon doesn't have a cloak on, because it is from that very cloak that the spirit can attach itself in this world). A cloak's spirit resides on an entirely different plane altogether and thus they know things that the doggoon does not.

There are other ways in which to conjure/summon/manifest the spirit in the cloak however... such as Kakdamshar having both an artifact in which to sacrifice and being in a place where magical energy or pyre is abundant (such as temples, etc) They draw the necessary energy from these two things in order to manifest their cloak spirit for a short amount of time (usually enough to tell them what they want), and usually... the artifact will break afterwards... having it's stored magical energy used up. Higher grade artifacts that contain more potent magic are harder to break (but they are also obviously rare or expensive to get to use for such a temporary moment).

TL;DR yes not all doggoons have cloak spirits, but they can because the potential is always there.

As for where a mercenary or assassin would come from I would guess either from the city, or from the steppe. The steppe is a common origin for warriors and those that live with nature and prepared to hunt beasts and other creatures. They are usually more forward in their approaches and stance with things and have more open personalities (generally) as it's simply all about competition. However the need or demand for mercenary/assassins originates from the city. The steppe doggoons do tend to become mercenaries for others... In this case I would generally imagine either coming from the steppe to the city, or having been born in the city and raised with other mercenaries/assassin guild that often do work there, thus growing up with more inside knowledge vs the natural flexibility of a steppe doggoon but without the inside knowledge of past working generations.

god im writing so much someone save me as i spam you with this wall of text.

As for weapons... YES! I will never be able to see why someone would be limited to the usage of only one weapon. People are adaptable and as is the battlefield. Carrying more weapons is obviously heavier, so it depends on how much adaptability vs movement one needs.

On an added note. These birthplaces are more typical... however I should also provide examples of atypical origins of merchants and assassins. If they were to have been of sandflare origin/or be in a location where most sandflare reside... perhaps they are a magical mercenary/assassin... or perhaps they are not and they have to compete with the kind of assassins that are more magically affinite and are much more...forward with their use of magic for their purposes.

Perhaps they're of subterranean origin and they have fled for one reason or another and have begun to use their physical prowess for other means rather than for their own culture/rules? ETC
