Tire Fruits are not eatable.
They are big, donut shaped and grow under water. They have air stored in the inside.
Once they stored enough air, filtered out of the water, they are fully grown and disconnect from their roots. This way they float up to the water surface where they often are used to play in the water or as swim tires.
The skin is very thick but since it´s natural, it will not last very long. A few days in sun light and it starts getting weaker. If you have no use for your Tire Fruit anymore, please dig a hole and burry it. It´s a great fertilizer for anything that grows nearby.
