Sparks came from a small pack and while he doesn't remember what his life was like before he was taken, he had a wonderful family life. He had three older siblings who adored him. Sparks, of course, is not his birth name and he can't recall what it is. Not that he would be able to tell anyone what it was even if he remembered. Like Ichio, he managed to escape Surt-Lim. Although, while he was able to do so, it was not without loss. His suffering and trauma caused him to lose his ability to speak. Sparks found the pack when he tried to steal some of their food. Ash, feeling the loss of her brother and having a void in her heart where taking care of Ichio was, refused to turn him away.
Sparks joined the pack before Ichio and when Carousel came to deliver Ichio, Sparks imprinted on her and would not allow Carousel to leave. He sticks close to her and uses her as his voice. They have a very close relationship and just with a look or gesture, Carousel knows just what Sparks is thinking and wanting to express.
