Gina Soren is one of many children born into House Soren, a noble family in Ultima renowned for their military prowess and devotion to their country. She was raised, like her siblings, to be the perfect soldier, and has known little else by design. However, after being accepted into Ultima's army and rising to the rank of Lieutenant General, she has learned more about who she is as a person and has been learning that she is more than just an pawn in her family's games. She is still rather reserved in that she scarcely shares her feelings with others, but she has loosened up since her childhood and now enjoys amicable drinks with her comrades and spending time in the company of others.
She can often come across as being somewhat gruff or surly, but she is also very polite to people of a higher standing of her and can be empathetic to those who are struggling. She offers little else than a listening ear and blunt advice, but she handles situations well enough that some soldiers have started coming to her with their problems, leaving her somewhat baffled. Gina has a difficult time expressing her emotions, but the longer she is away from her House, the easier it is becoming.

House Soren is an Ultimian noble house that was one of the first houses to found the country, and has been its stable backbone since its conception. The house tends to stay out of diplomacy, with the exception for its matriarch, who often meets with the emperor in charge to offer counsel, updates, and concerns. The rest of the family follows the matriarch's commands, and children are raised from infancy to become good, powerful soldiers. All genders are taught how to fight, but are also all responsible for making children, as one of House Soren's strategies to support Ultima is to continually throw weel-trained bodies into the fray. Gina is just one of many of these children.
She learned military training and magic use at a very young age, but while she's always done good for her family, she has never been seen as being particularly noteworthy. Her resistance to bearing children (as she is repulsed by the idea of laying with the men her family tries to set up for her) makes her kin look down upon her, but she is determined still to make her family proud through other means, even if they don't deserve that from her. As soon as she was able, she joined the army, and is now a Lieutenant General who supports her only childhood friend, Saurax Valerio.
When Emperor Leonidas approaches her, Saurax, and Sirius with a new, mysterious order to fulfill, Gina sets out towards Anima alongside them. Little does she know, her journey is about to open her eyes to a world that she couldn't have even imagined.
- Gina has a boomerang-shaped tattoo over her right eye, but not her left.
- Her armor is lined with warm animal furs, a tradition of the Soren family that the rest of Ultima is just starting to appreciate and adopt. When not in armor, she prefers clothes that show off her musculature and bare arms.
- She has large, gold, looped earrings in both ears.
- She's quite buff, not skinny or frail at all.
- She takes great care of her health outside of battle, and perhaps has the most balanced lifestyle in the main cast. Although surly at times, she also practices meditation.
- Although many Terramancers can bend the earth to their will, Gina prefers to focus on surrounding herself with armor or slightly upsetting her opponent's balance.
- Gina is actually rather intelligent and can follow and understand orders and situations quickly, but she prefers to let others give her orders on the battlefield. She was raised this way and is comfortable with it.
- While she can be gruff, she is an exceptional listener and will quietly allow others to vent if it's not bothering her.
Having known Saurax for many years, Gina is perhaps the only person who is not put off by his abrasive and vulgar behavior. She knows more about Saurax than most people and knows that his heart is in the right place, and will support him even when others do not.
Grandma Allesa is the current matriarch of House Soren, and was the harsh instructor who Gina had to listen to for most of her childhood. Although they never got along on a personal level, Gina respects her grandmother's battle prowess and is reverent to her when appropriate.
