✦ am i bound by my fate? to be a self-fulfilling prophecy?

einbanner.png

Fate. This singular word brought you so much internal strife. It was a word that was able to bring you so much hope, but so much pain at the same time...

It was also what kept you in this accursed house, and it was what had knocked you down onto the ground with no sense of remorse or mercy. Your Fate stood above you, with you in his shadow, and his contempt-filled eyes staring down at you and your vile form. It was almost as if he stared into your very soul, and you knew exactly what he was thinking.

You were a monster.

While your mother had eloped with some no-named commoner to avoid the wicked thing called Fate, you stayed because you believed in it-- you believed that it was going to save your country. Maybe even you. It was for the greater good, you thought. Yet, you were born from a couple who didn't believe in Fate... your entire existence a contradiction to what you believed in.

Maybe that's why you're so jealous of them. Of the rebel. Of the man who was able to, against all odds, shatter Fate. He was able to create his own country, for people who were betrayed by God. For people who had no place in the world you lived in.

...For people like you.

i don't know if i can break these chains. ✦

stubborn. traditional. self-loathing. loyal. Ein was the next in line to the Leidnolia family, a lauded family of lepus descendents to the sidekick of the hero of legend.

Ein was trained from a young age to serve the descendant of the legendary hero. Her family, the Leidnolias, had been serving the descendents to the hero of legend for decades. However, the Leidnolia family had always been a shining image of heroines with pure-white hair, and Ein was the first in the family to not have it. The family saw this to mean that she was "tainted" and wouldn't be able to successfully fulfill her duty properly-- that she was a taboo that contradicted their fate and would ultimately bring about their downfall.

They lived in a very traditional society, where they clung to fate with every ounce of their hope-- they were afraid of changing anything that could alter their fate. Ein couldn't help but believe in these same ideals, even if it meant despising every ounce of her being.

✦ Originally a character for PixelQuests, she lives in a world split into two main countries-- one believes in fate and one that wants to shatter fate and expectations.
✦ Her mother is a Leidnolia hare demi-human, but her father was a regular human. This is what caused her to lack the pure white hair that the family normally has as they usually tend to mate within their own tribe.
✦ While she acts prideful and talks down to others who aren't royalty, it's mostly a front and a result of her feelings of inferiority and frustration.
