Estelle (Star Ruby)

The leader of Padparadscha's Ruby Guards, Estelle is the eldest and tallest of the Rubies. She was custom made for Saraii and has faithfully been by Saraii's side since Saraii was first created for White Diamond. As such, she is the most knowledgeable of Saraii's personality and desires and is best suited to calming Saraii's rages. Estelle is slightly taller than Saraii, a fact which constantly becomes a topic of teasing between the two. Saraii will often float and boop Estelle's head whilst Estelle is trying to be serious. Estelle is very protective over Saraii and will act grumpy towards all other gems but when they are alone, Estelle is secretly a softie who loves doing domestic things with her lover. The other Rubies usually take rotational guard outside the room and Estelle is often the only one actually allowed to stay in the room with Saraii. Estelle usually walks slightly behind Saraii whereas the rest of the guard walk in front, sometimes they will walk side by side. At these times, other gems will look at Estelle disapprovingly because Saraii likes to hold hands but if approached, Saraii will state that the hand holding allows her to center her powers and avoid getting lost in the astral plane. This is usually a sufficient explaination for other gems but her ruby guards often wonder why they never get to hold Saraii's hand (it's cause Estelle is wayyyy too protective for that LOL). Estelle is probably one of a very select handful of gems that would ever hear Saraii's voice without something bad happening (other gems exempt from the danger include: The Diamond's, The Diamond's pearls, Some Higher Ranking Gems (though this is rare because Saraii is already pretty high up).

The two have never fused before and probably never will. Despite everything, their love has more of a master-slave tint than what would typically be counted as "normal"
