”Please let the sun set.”
Ferry is one of the main deities in servitude to the sun. He and his siblings are worshipped to different degrees depending on their abilities and sympathy toward human plights. While they are not immortal, their natural lifespans are indeterminably long. When he was created, the sun bestowed upon him a sundial. The angle of the shadow indicates how far a being is through their life. Sometimes, his ability is used to prophecize mass death, but it is more often used to amuse other gods about their favorite humans. In earlier ages, he was heavily worshipped because he would often travel into the human realm to lessen the grief of passing whenever possible. For example, he would prepare faithful kingdoms for succession in advance of their ruler's death. Over the ages, he was called different adaptations and translations of Ferry, as humans considered him a guiding spirit after death that would care for what they left behind. However, interacting with people while knowing their inevitable time of death slowly broke him.
Soon after a marraige of deities, the world celebrated the birth of their beautiful son. While Ferry was hesitant to read deity lifespans, the old and powerful couple was intimidating to the young god. More so, they were extremely persuasive, and he began to trust their stern self-discipline and experience. Unfortunately, the shadow immediately cast to a late hour of the baby's life. The mother gradually grew into a paranoid rage and tore a deep trench into the ocean, causing huge natural disasters. She brought her child far beneath the surface and, after overexhausting her powers, fell into a long, unwilling sleep. There, the baby turned to stone. While he had always known, Ferry was painfully reminded that the shadow of his sundial never moved backwards
He was not blamed, but he no longer could use his sundial without feeling helpless and guilty. Ferry began to dehumanize the people who prayed to him, hoping that if he did not get attached, their deaths would not matter to him.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
