SUMMARY:

The heir of a powerful family of necromancers and blood mages. Due to the matriarchal nature of his family, his birth was decried. Though he was trained to be among his family, he was terribly abused throughout his life, and has committed horrible acts (often against his will) in his pursuit of dark arts. Moody, secretive, and somewhat of a loner, Remy has had mostly troubled relationships with others.

In most stages of his life, he is a servant of someone else. There is a god of death and destruction that appears to "watch" over him. This entity appears to be directing his life down a specific path, and refuses to allow him to die. It appears that he is the pawn of this entity...

POWERS:

Remy’s necromancy powers include raising the dead (usually mindless servants), summoning evil spirits and spectres that deal heavy psychic damage, and speaking with the dead, and dominating the souls of the recently departed. He also enjoys breathing life into freaky chimeras and frankenstein humanoids and/or monsters he sews together with loose parts from all kinds of beings. Oh! he can also dominate undead that aren’t under his control (free zombies, vampires, ghosts, etc)

Aside from his necromancy, he’s also a pro at: Healing, surgical procedures on humans, potions and poison crafting, herbalism, botany, and dungeon crawling. He’s got very low hp, but he’s got a strong sneak, disguise, and survival skill.

He’s what I’d call a glass cannon: weak physically, but deals heavy damage. He makes an amazing support as long as he has a tank to take hits for him. He usually likes to surround himself with his undead in order to protect himself from harm,,,while he makes his escape :)

BACKSTORY (STILL A HELLA WIP LOL):

Remy's family is an extremely powerful, wealthy, influential, and old group of mages that specialize in blood magic and necromancy, many of them have given up their humanity in exchange for power, and eternal life. Their cult centers around a false god that is actually a demon, and their source of power comes from her. His mother is the leader of this family, and she prayed to their god for a perfect heir--a prodigy gifted with the perfect ability to wield their dark arts. Her wish was granted, however, this heir was born male, much to her disgrace and frustration.

Remy was the first child born to his mother, and for the first few years of his life, he was raised as a girl. When his younger sister was born, he was quickly pushed out of their home and kept in the family catacombs--a place where many undead creatures and monsters roam about. He was often left to fend for himself in terms of food, shelter, and protection. Though he grew up malnourished and frail because of his, his magic only ever seemed to flourish. It was quickly seen that he was likely to be the most powerful of them all--and that was very much unwanted by his mother, who wished only for her daughter to take the helm of their family line.

From a very young age, his life was devoted to his training in the dark arts, and his participation in his family's cult. Since he was young, he was exposed to disturbing acts of violence, and often he was made to practice and participate in cult rituals that involved torturing and killing unwilling victims. Though at first it scared him, he was often praised and made to feel good when he performed well in these rituals. He quickly learned to take pride in it, and to even enjoy the bloodcurdling screams that rang out.

He was the frequent victim of his mother's physical and mental abuse--she simply had no love in her heart for her son, who she saw as a terrible blight on her family line.

Remy often had to bear the brunt of his family and cult's physical, mental, and sexual abuse--and this began from a very young age, and progressed well into adulthood. Because of his shunned status among his family members, he was easily chosen as the one who would be used for anyone's entertainment in their circles. He didn't completely understand it at first, and sometimes, he considered it as something he had to do in order to be accepted. He often coped with drug use, in order to forget or avoid feeling anything--and this is something he continues to do, well into the present.

Remy did not understand love in the way that most would. He learned that love was earned through pain, and for a lot of his childhood he tried very hard to earn his mother's love. To this end, he would always, always fail. His parents would always leave him to his fate when it came to his duties to their cult, and the consequences of his training. Remy's understanding was that he was a tool meant to be used, and so, he tried to become the perfect tool. He threw himself into his studies of magic and dark arts, and as he grew older, he began to mar himself in exchange for this power.

When he would become too injured to go on, his "family" would simply stitch him back together. When he tried to die, they would stop him. When he tried to run away, his family would catch him. 

There was no escape from the pain that he suffered. He simply learned that it was part of his existence.

By day, he was sent to school, and given tutors that would teach him many different ways of magic. Healing, potions, poisons, and botany were other skills he excelled in during his time. The other students knew of his family name, and feared him, but his personality is what solidified his inability to carve out a place for himself socially. He only ever managed to have one close friend, a young witch named Scarlet.
