Briar Grimsbane

Briar is gentle but firm in her beliefs. She's head of law enforcement and can be quite cruel at times. She's the High Judge for water elementals. She has the power of siren-song in addition to her water elemental powers, as a result she attended the Couno Academy. The High Judge ensures that the laws of the Water Elementals are just and keep up with the times. She also controls the militia and police forces. She recently celebrated her 135th birthday and she will retire in 90 years. She is new at her job however she did spend 70 years studying the laws and customs of the Water elementals. (the average life span is around 400 years old - equivalent of about 80 human years)

The embodiments of human nature are not human. They look like humans, they feel emotions like humans and yes, they hurt like humans. You can kill them, and they will return, utterly battered and irreversably damaged but strong. So very strong because as long as there is still one person who has the qualities and believes in the qualities they embody, they cannot truly leave us. They can be absorbed by other embodiments, if their traits are considered to be no longer 'relevant' and yet their legacy will live on through generations of people. They will be here to see the end of the world, to embrace their children and to comfort them. They will be here to protect, and to guide and to hold all the pain, suffering and hurt in this world. They will be here to love and to hate, to forgive but never forget. They will be here to soothe and support, and they will be here to tell us 'never give up'. They are our guardians. They are us.
