Born to the Mother of Storms, Thrushkit and Lionkit were prophetised to be both the savior and destroyer of Riverclan. Brookefur, a desciple of Silverpelt, had her kits with a loner (as ruled) and raised her kits alongside the clan deputy, Voleheart. Only the daughter, Thrushkit, is supposed to inheiret these "powers" of sorts.

Thrush's relationship with Riverclan is rocky as she grows up. Having always been more rowdy then her brother, the clan assumed her to be the one fated to destroy Riverclan. Excluded from most social groups, Thrush found herself drawn to the bank of the Windclan border, where she met another cat who is seemingly ignored by his clan. The two form a bond and start meeting as often as they can at the border. Despite the social exclusion, when apprenticed Thrushpaw was mentored by her second mother, Voleheart, and was groomed to succeed Voleheart in the deputy position.

Thrush and Vole ascended ranks on the same day, after a battle when the Riverclan leader lost her last life. Volestar gave Lion and Thrush the most fitting names, and they were both named -storm. Two halves of to a storm, Thrushstorm for her wild ways and inability to be controlled; and Lionstorm for his great physical power and emotional strength.

Thrushstorm's first and only apprentice was Hornetpaw, who grew into a great and vengeful warrior. She trained her apprentice alongside her brother's apprentice, Batpaw. At Hornetwhisker's warrior ceremony, he called out that it was injustice that Thrushstorm be made deputy for favoritism instead of deserving the title. Volestar, pressured by the clan and prophecy, held off on appointing her as deputy. After the public outcry to name someone else as deputy, Thrushstorm spent more and more time at the border with Foxfoot, now her mate.

Before a gathering in leaf-bare, Thrushstorm spoke with Duckcloud, the Riverclan Medicine Cat, discovered she was expecting kits. She was excited and terrified and decided that the prophecy and nothing else mattered, just her kits and Foxfoot- and they could run away. She told Foxfoot her plan that night, and it was set into motion. They would meet at the Shadowclan border and leave in a few nights. However, on her way back she was invited on a hunting patrol with Hornetwhisker and her brother. Lionstorm went towards the Windclan border to catch rabbit, while Hornetwhisker and Thrushstorm try their luck with mice.

Hornetwhisker had cornered Thrushstorm and admitted he had eavesdropped on her and the medicine cat- he knew she was expecting kits, and he gave her a choice. She could leave Foxfoot and be with Hornetwhisker and let the clan think theyre his legacy, or she would be exposed as a traitor. After refusing, a fight between the two broke out. After trying to protect herself, Hornetwhisker knocked Thrushstorm off the ravine and into the frozen water below.

Blind in one eye, and mourning the loss of her kits, Thrushstorm was exposed by Hornetwhisker for being a "traitor". He told the clan she had attacked him for being made deputy instead. Lionstorm, Batstream, Raintail, and Larkstomp were the few cats who would speak and visit her in the medicine cat den. Other members of her clan asked to be treated outside of the den so they didn't have to see her. As tensions in Riverclan skyrocketed, they did between the clans as well. Expecting a war to break out, Batstream pushed for Thrushstorm to be rehabilitated and taught how to fight once more.

Ordered to stay within camp walls unless escorted Thrushstorm started training to fight once more, Hornetwhisker the one tasked to teach her how to fight once more. Despite this, Batstream took every chance he could to get her out of the camp and show her around the territory. Batstream was to deliver a message of well being to Foxfoot, however Foxfoot said he couldnt stand the heartache that came with losing his kits. He said he trusted that Thrushstorm hadn't been the traitor that she was rumored to be, but he couldn't stand to be with her any longer, as he was just made deputy of Windclan. Once able to move independantly, Thrushstorm snuck out of the camp to see Foxfoot. As it turns out, Batstorm had greatly sugar-coated his words. Angrily, he turned his back on her, leaving her to be what she thought truely alone.

During this downtime and self-reflection, Thrush realizes that a source of their discomfort was due to them being trans and never knowing a word for the feeling. Thrush came out and things went swimmingly, because while cats and Riverclan are awful and shitty in this story, I don't write transphobes.

Tensions between clans escalate, and fights break out nearly every time border patrols meet. Volestar has no choice but to let Thrushstorm rejoin the clan's workforce. Always with Batstream and his brother, Thrushstorm feels welcome within his circle for the first time in a long time. He thinks eventually things will be okay. He fights alongside Batstream in a battle against Thunderclan- a long and terrifying battle. Despite Riverclan winning, Hornetwhisker dies in the battle.

Dark grey fur caught in his claws, Hornetwhisker's death is investigated as a murder from Riverclan. All eyes turn to Thrushstorm, despite Batstream's objections of seeing him the whole battle. Volestar decides to begin trial for banishment, however Thrushstorm flees the camp and rushes to Windclan. He runs into Foxfoot, who apologizes and promises a better future. The two run towards Shadowclan only to be ambushed by a Shadowclan border patrol. It is clear Shadowclan is out for blood, as they have cornered the Windclan Deputy and the Riverclan traitor. They pin Thrush with the intents to kill. Thrush begs Foxfoot to help her only for him to turn tail and run. Thrush fights with his whole might and still is outnumbered, only to hear Batstream and Duckcloud calling his name. They quickly fought off the Shadowclan patrol and brought Thrush back to Riverclan.

The scene at Riverclan was a terrifying one, as they returned to Volestar missing. Lionstorm said something about her "not able to handle the pressure of banishing her child" and left the clans, leaving Riverclan without a deputy or a leader.
